Modern British Beer – Good Beer Box and Tasting Event with Matthew Curtis
August 2021

We all had such a great time at this event. Annabel was really knowledgeable and the beers were great and it was really interesting. I especially liked the personal recommendations for us who like other alcoholic beverages as a preference. Really pleased with it and the team were happy and merry!”

Organised a virtual Pub in a Box Beer and Food Pairing event for her team

I enjoyed hearing the women brewers, who gave us their time and their expertise, as well as tasting the beers and being talked through them. It was inspiring listening to their brewing background stories, and their honest assessments. They also demonstrated the passion they have for beer. We enjoyed tasting beers we'd never tried before.”

Who are CAMRA

The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is considered one of the most successful consumer organisations across Europe. Founded by four real ale enthusiasts back in 1971, today we represent beer drinkers and pub-goers across the UK. Our vision is to have quality real ale, cider and perry and thriving pubs in every community.

Our mission is to promote and advocate:

  • the production, availability and consumption of quality real ale, cider and perry
  • pubs and clubs as social centres and part of the UK’s cultural heritage
  • the benefits of responsible social drinking

We do this by supporting and encouraging the beer and pubs trade, running beer festivals, lobbying Government for change, running numerous awards and developing bespoke pub finders and guides.

At the heart of CAMRA are our beer festivals of which there are almost 200 a year, including the Great British Beer Festival which is held at Olympia and is the UK’s largest beer festival. Our events showcase the best of British brewing and help to engage people from all walks of life in learning about great beer and cider.

The Campaign runs almost 200 beer festivals a year and during lockdown began to organise virtual tasting sessions in lieu of live events, bringing a fantastic selection of beers to people at home whilst supporting breweries across the UK. CAMRA continues to produce beer boxes for special events such as book launches and champion beer competitions, alongside our busy schedule of corporate tastings which take place as both virtual and in person events.
